Development and testing is done for 3 years and based on the digital prototype (DPT). They conduct in-depth investigation of the chassis, weight distribution, center of gravity or axle design, the position of the engine, handling dynamics, aerodynamics, Ergonomic, impact behavior and production processes.
AMG cooperate intensively with the Mercedes Technology Center (MTC) in Sindelfingen in developing Coupe and Roadster. AMG made some changes to the Roadster. Aluminum chassis modified with reinforcing cross-members behind the two seats to support the rollover bar.
Roadster does not have a hard roof and still like Coupe, AMG increased rigidity of the shell by immersing two features; dashboard cross-member in cantilever-imbued additional support in the windshield frame and the central tunnel (center tunnel), and support between the roof and the gas tank in order to adds rigidity rear axle. A number of tests carried out on the highway, rural, and in the city. AMG antikorosi testing as well.
Durability testing engine, chassis and suspension made the Nürburgring North Loop and the traffic in each city over 10 thousand kilometers.
