"B-Class allows Mercedes-Benz became the new benchmark in the premium compact car segment," commented Joachim Schmidt, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz Cars.
"Although the new generation will be introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011, the B-Class is still very popular in the eyes of the customers. Since the beginning of this year B-Class has recorded very strong growth in two key markets, Germany and China, "said Joachim.
All-New B-Class will be launched in Frankfurt in September 2011. Mercedes-Benz will be sent to its customers in Western Europe end of 2011.
"We want to further increase our market share in this segment through the launch of the next generation A-Class and B-Class as well as two other variants of the sporty and emotional," said Joachim.
"We will also set a new benchmark in the premium compact segment with safety features. B-Class, for example, will be equipped with emergency braking assistant as a standard, "he promised.
